Professor Gao from the Mukogawa Women's University in Japan came to the School of Pharmacy in Jiangsu University to make an Academic report
On 13th November, Professor Gao, from Mukogawa Women's University in Japan, was invited to make an academic report "Model of Disease Animal and Disease of Habit of Life". In this report, Professor Gao introduced development and vicissitude of disease animal model, SHRSP, SHRSP-ZF and research of Traditional Chinese Medicine applying SHRSP and SHRSP-ZF. A/Prof. Chunlai Feng (Vice-Dean of School of Pharmacy) hosted the talk. More than 100 students and teachers attended. Professor Gao discussed international scientific cooperation with Japan and invited students to go to Japan to study.
Professor Gao received the degree of postdoctor in Kyoto University in 1999, and he is a professor in Mukogawa Women's University. He engaged in exploring effective components in natural medicine (especially Traditional Chinese Medicine) and using the most advanced technologies such as molecular genetics technology to study adiposity, hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia and metabolic syndrome on animal models. These animal models and its organs and cells were used to identify validation of drug and research mechanism of drug. In recent years, he has got 200 million yen research funding, and have published many high-level papers in this field.
