Currently, Prof. Li is the vice President of the Institute of Chinese medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine of the University of Macau and deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research of Traditional Chinese Medicine. His research focuses on the quality control of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and has undertaken more than 10 projects from National Natural Science Foundation and the Macao Science and Technology Development Fund projects. Moreover, Prof. Li is the editor or compiler member for 8 English books, 2 Chinese monographs; and has published more than one hundred SCI papers; and obtained 3 Chinese patents. At present, he is the peer-reviewed experts of NSFC, the committee of Professional committee of pharmacology of Chinese medicine of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS) and International Association for Chinese medicine, the committee of Chinese society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, the standing director of Industrial Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of Chinese society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, the professional committee of Traditional Chinese Medicine and natural medicine professional committee of pharmaceutical analysis of CPA. Furthermore, he is also the editor of Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, Journal of Separation Science, Journal of Functional Food, Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis and other famous international journals.
