To strengthen laboratory safety management and enhance the safety awareness and emergency response capabilities of faculty and students, the School of Pharmacy conducted a pre-summer safety training and small-scale emergency drill on June 25,2025. The training covered multiple aspects including the use of special equipment sterilizers, hazardous chemical management, daily laboratory safety protocols, fire safety, and electrical safety, aiming to improve the safety protection capabilities of all faculty and students in the laboratory.

The training program focused on operating sterilization ovens for specialized equipment, detailing operational procedures, safety precautions, and troubleshooting methods to equip students with practical skills for real-world scenarios. Regarding laboratory safety management, it emphasized standardized environmental control and regular equipment inspections. Fire safety and electrical safety were also key training components. Following the session, the college conducted a simulated emergency drill simulating a laboratory glassware breakage incident that caused student injuries. Participants practiced essential first aid measures including rapid hemostasis and wound bandaging, ensuring both faculty and students could respond calmly and correctly in such emergencies.

Through this drill, both teachers and students not only enhanced their emergency response capabilities but also gained deeper insights into effectively handling emergencies to ensure their own and others 'safety. The successful implementation of this activity has not only improved the laboratory's safety management standards but also injected new vitality into the college's safety culture.

The School of Pharmacy consistently upholds the "safety first" principle, conducting regular safety training and emergency drills to maintain laboratories in a standardized and secure environment. The school pledges to further prioritize laboratory safety management, enhance emergency response capabilities for faculty and students, and provide robust safeguards for seamless research operations. By reinforcing safety culture in laboratories, the school will ensure all research activities proceed in a safe and regulated setting.
