In order to promote academic exchanges and improve the scientific research level of young teachers, the School of Pharmacy successfully held the second Doctoral Forum in 2024 on July 9 in Conference Room 1301 of the School of Pharmacy. This forum not only provides a valuable opportunity for academic exchange, but also sets up an important platform for young teachers to show themselves and share experience. The forum was presided over by Shen Song, vice president of the School of Pharmacy, Liu Zhengxin, secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Pharmacy, and young and middle-aged teachers who joined the school in recent years participated in the forum.
At the forum, Dr. Li Xiaolan and Dr. Wang Wei of the College of Pharmacy made a report. Professor Li Xiaolan gave a report on the topic of "Biosynthesis of D-arabitol and the mechanism of preventing Obesity", elaborated the research ideas and experimental results of this topic, and especially emphasized the great potential of biosynthesis towards industrialization and its broad application prospects in the field of pharmaceutical engineering. The theme shared by Teacher Wang Wei was "Research on Toxic Chinese Medicine Processing to Reduce toxicity and increase efficiency - Taking 4 Toxic Chinese medicines of Arisaaceae as examples", which explained the theory of Chinese medicine processing and the scientific connotation of reducing toxicity and increasing efficiency in a simple way from the perspective of major scientific problems of Chinese medicine and national needs.
In the discussion session, the participating teachers conducted in-depth exchanges around the topics of the two teachers' reports, and jointly discussed the cutting-edge issues and challenges of relevant research. In addition, the two teachers also shared the successful experience of applying for Jiangsu Provincial fund, which provided valuable help and inspiration for the young teachers present.
The successful holding of this forum not only broadened the participants' academic horizons, but also provided new ideas and directions for scientific research and exploration in related fields. We look forward to more academic exchange activities in the future to further promote the improvement of the scientific research level of the school.
