On May 11, Vice President of Jiangsu University Zhang Jijian together with all students in 1801 class of the School of Pharmacy and 1901 class of the School of Medicine ate Bittersweet Memory Meals in the fourth canteen and recalled the tough time of the revolution. Deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Medicine Qiu Jian, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Pharmacy Liu Zhengxin, college counselors and all classmates participated in the activity.
Zhang Jijian said, Bittersweet Memory Meals restores the hard years of the Chinese Red Army. Teachers and students ate the Bittersweet Memory Meals together to remember the bitterness and express gratitude to the Communist Party of China. The school is in the critical period of double first-class creation and realization of the leap-forward development of the medical and health sector. All teachers and students of the School of Pharmacy and the Medical School must consolidate their original intentions and actively participate in construction of the first-class life health and precision medicine discipline group so that we could continue to contribute wisdom, plans and actions to build a healthy China and healthy Jiangsu.
During the activity, Zhang Jijian communicated with students cordially. He asked conditions about their study, life, and participation in scientific research. He also shared his early years of studying experience and his impressive stories about party and University’s history.
In this activity, Zhang Jijian delivered a Communist Party lecture with vivid format and rich content, allowing Red History to go out of the textbook and close to reality, so that the sense of experience and acquisition of party history learning and education would be stronger. Teachers and students had expressed that they would study party history in depth in the future and carry forward the spirit of hard work. They would actively participate in establishment of the school’s double first-class and leap-forward development of the medical and health sector.
