Recently, a team of summer social practice from School of Pharmacy went to Huangshan road community and conducted a campaign to publicize medication safety and healthcare knowledge following the group of Zhenjiang healthcare volunteers. Since the aim of this activity was to advocate healthy lifestyle and enhance inhabitants’ health consciousness, this social practice was well-received by the public.
At public spot, these volunteers set up several display boards which were used to popularize medication knowledge, including the precautions against summer sunstroke, the classification and prevention from influenza, as well as essential measures preventing household pesticide poisoning. During this activity, teachers and students distributed medicines brochure in communities, and explained rational use of drugs and identification of counterfeited drugs. Furthermore, volunteers on-site were glad to answer inquiries on most commonly used drugs.
