To help freshmen better understand their majors and plan their university life effectively, the School of Pharmacy hosted a professional orientation lecture for the 2025 undergraduate cohort on September 8. Dean Wei Yuan delivered the lecture in Room 203 of the Lecture Hall Complex, with Qiu Xiangkui, the counselor, moderating the session. All freshmen of the 2025 cohort attended the event.

Wei Yuan addressed freshmen's questions through multidimensional analysis of the college's academic programs, discipline development, faculty resources, and facilities. He introduced the concept of pharmacy while guiding students toward career and academic pathways in this field. He encouraged students to cultivate self-reflection, self-discipline, and self-identity, urging them to plan their university life thoughtfully and purposefully. Ultimately, he emphasized the importance of becoming responsible, dedicated, and patriotic professional pharmacists.
The lecture gave students a preliminary understanding of pharmacy study, effectively promoted the students 'enthusiasm for learning in the new semester, enhanced the students' sense of belonging and identity, and received a warm response.
