The School of Pharmacy Holds a Meeting with Parents of 2025 Freshmen to Build a Bridge for Education

On September 6, the 2025 Freshmen Parent-Teacher Meeting of the School of Pharmacy was successfully held in Room 1204 of the Pharmacy Building. College leaders, department heads, and parents gathered to discuss educational philosophies and collaborate on supporting students' growth and success. The event was chaired by Shen Song, Vice Dean of the School of Pharmacy.

At the meeting, Dean Wei Yuan of the School of Pharmacy first extended a warm welcome to all parents on behalf of the college, and provided a comprehensive introduction to the college's development history, faculty strength, discipline construction, research achievements, and talent cultivation system. Dean Wei emphasized that the college has always adhered to the fundamental mission of' moral education and talent cultivation,' striving to provide students with high-quality educational resources and broad development platforms, serving as a solid base for cultivating high-caliber pharmaceutical professionals.

Subsequently, Sun Jing (Head of the Pharmacy Department), Cao Jin (Head of the Pharmaceutical Formulation Department), and Wang Mingqi (Head of the Pharmaceutical Engineering Department) delivered detailed presentations on the training objectives, curriculum design, distinctive features, career prospects, and development directions of their respective disciplines. These insights provided parents with a comprehensive understanding of the academic content and future plans for each major, thereby establishing a solid foundation for collaborative efforts between families and schools to enhance students' professional learning.

In his concluding remarks, Party Committee Secretary Liu Zhengxin expressed gratitude for the parents 'trust and support, and extended three formal invitations and four personal appeals to the parents, focusing on the critical stages of students' growth and development.

The "Three Invitations" initiative comprises four key components: 1. We invite you to recognize the School of Pharmacy as an exceptional talent development base, where we will go all out to provide students with an optimal learning environment and growth support. 2. We urge parents to help their children adapt to the significant changes in university life, transitioning from passive acceptance to proactive exploration. 3. We call for continued family support during this critical growth phase, fostering joint efforts to safeguard students 'physical and mental well-being and holistic development. The "Four Invitations" initiative includes: 1. Regular visits to Jiangda University to experience its campus atmosphere and observe your child's growth. 2. Regular communication with your child to address concerns and stress promptly. 3. Maintaining timely contact with counselors and academic advisors to strengthen home-school collaboration. 4. Providing valuable feedback to help the school continuously improve its educational and management services.

This parent-teacher meeting has built a bridge for home-school communication, strengthening parents 'confidence and recognition in the college's educational efforts. Attendees unanimously expressed their commitment to actively support the college's initiatives, jointly focusing on and supporting students' growth and development. The School of Pharmacy at Jiangsu University will continue to uphold a student-centered approach, enhance home-school collaboration, solidify educational outcomes, and empower every student to write a brilliant chapter in their life.
