On December 12th, the School of Pharmacy successfully held a symposium for ethnic minority students in Conference Room 1301. Representatives of undergraduate and graduate students from ethnic groups such as Tibetans, Uyghurs, and Buyi, along with college counselors, gathered together to share their feelings and discuss their growth. The symposium was hosted by counselor Wang Lian.
At the symposium, Wang Lian first expressed the college's cordial greetings and high regard for all ethnic minority students, emphasizing that the college has always been a warm and solid backing for all students, and is committed to escorting the comprehensive development of every student. The student representatives who attended the symposium actively spoke up, sharing their learning experiences, life feelings, as well as their thoughts and needs regarding campus cultural adaptation, academic planning, employment development, and other aspects during their school years.
Tong Shanshan, Vice Dean of the School of Pharmacy, and Wu Xinlei, Vice Dean and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, attended the symposium and listened carefully to the students' speeches. In her concluding remarks, Tong Shanshan fully affirmed the positive spirit of the students and expressed her gratitude for their valuable opinions and suggestions. Wu Xinlei emphasized that the school would continue to improve its support mechanism and strive to create a better learning and living environment for ethnic minority students.
This symposium has built an effective communication bridge between the college and ethnic minority students, enhanced the students' sense of belonging and cohesion, and effectively promoted the construction of a harmonious campus and an atmosphere of ethnic unity.
