To explore new teaching approaches aligned with contemporary demands and advance undergraduate program reform, the School of Pharmacy hosted a thematic teaching salon titled “Empowering New Transformations in Undergraduate Education at Jiangsu University's School of Pharmacy through New Quality Productivity and New Engineering Concepts” in Room 1301 .
This seminar was presented by Associate Professor Cao Jin, Head of the Department of Pharmacy's Basic Teaching Organization and Department Chair, and chaired by Vice Dean Shen Song.
Professor Cao Jin explored methods for integrating undergraduate teaching in the School of Pharmacy at Jiangsu University with the concepts of new-quality productive forces and new engineering education. Professor Cao first interpreted the concept of new-quality productive forces as innovation-driven advanced productive forces and the principles of new engineering education. He then analyzed existing shortcomings in teaching practices, such as limited integration of cutting-edge technologies. Addressing these issues, he explored the enabling points for teaching transformation through new-quality productive forces and strategies for leveraging new engineering principles to enhance program and course development. Finally, he summarized current challenges and outlined areas for future improvement and effort by educators.
Over twenty faculty members from the School of Pharmacy and the School of Medicine participated in this salon event. Following the presentations, attendees engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges based on their personal insights and reflections, creating a lively atmosphere throughout the event.
This salon event has provided insights for the School to advance teaching reforms and cultivate pharmaceutical professionals capable of meeting the evolving demands of the modern healthcare industry. It will propel the undergraduate programs at Jiangsu University School of Pharmacy to new heights.
