To enhance researchers' ethical awareness, elevate the integrity of scientific activities, and foster a clean and upright research environment, our institute convened a research integrity training session . The meeting featured a lecture titled “Academic Integrity: The Foundation of Research Ethics,” delivered by Xu Wanzhen, Deputy Director of the Research Office. The session was chaired by Wei Yuan, Dean of the institute.

Deputy Director Xu Wanzhen emphasized the critical importance of research integrity, stating that it serves as the cornerstone of scientific inquiry and represents an absolute baseline that researchers must uphold. In research activities, integrity not only impacts individual reputation and career advancement but also affects the credibility of the entire scientific community and societal progress. Subsequently, through a series of practical case studies, she conducted an in-depth analysis of the harms caused by research misconduct and its underlying causes. She emphasized that every researcher should remain vigilant at all times and resolutely eliminate any form of research misconduct.

The successful delivery of this lecture on research integrity has not only heightened the awareness of integrity and ethical standards among all researchers in our institute, but also fostered an environment of honesty, trustworthiness, rigor, and pragmatism in our research endeavors. Furthermore, it has laid a solid foundation for promoting the healthy development of research activities within the institute.
