On April 22, to strengthen academic ethics education for postgraduate students, raise their awareness of academic norms, and foster a clean and upright research environment, the School of Pharmacy successfully held a special lecture on academic ethics and norms for postgraduates in Room 1203 of the Pharmacy Building. The event invited Ms. Cui Tingting from the University Student Affairs Office as the guest speaker, with a number of postgraduate students in attendance.
During the lecture, Ms. Cui delivered a systematic elaboration centering on the connotation of academic ethics, the importance of research integrity, and the specific requirements of academic norms. Drawing on typical cases in the academic field in recent years, she conducted an in-depth analysis of common academic misconducts and their severe harms in key research links, including experimental data processing, paper citation and research authorship. She emphasized that abiding by the academic bottom line and cherishing academic reputation are the fundamental professional ethics for every researcher. Ms. Cui also interpreted in detail the rules and regulations of the university and relevant fields on academic norms, providing clear and practical guidelines for research conduct for postgraduate students.
The School of Pharmacy will continue to promote scientific ethics and the improvement of academic conduct, integrate academic norms education into the entire process of postgraduate cultivation, and strive to foster high-quality research talents with both solid professional competence and noble academic integrity.
