Recently, a vibrant and distinctive traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) cultural experience event was held at our school as part of the "Language and Business Marketing" program of Jiangsu University’s 2026 "Youth Ambassador Exchange and Study Program" International Summer School. Seventeen faculty members and students from Northern Arizona University of the United States took an active part in the activity.
Guided by teachers from the School of Pharmacy, Chinese and American participants engaged in a series of engaging hands-on practices in groups, including herbal sachet filling, TCM herb rubbing, and scented wax tablet making. By touching medicinal materials firsthand and experiencing traditional crafts, everyone gained a deep appreciation of the unique charm of TCM culture through interactive activities. In addition, the visiting group toured the Herbal Fragrance Corridor to further learn about the historical heritage and cultural connotations of traditional Chinese medicine. This event has not only enriched international students’ summer learning experience, but also promoted mutual learning and mutual appreciation between Chinese and foreign youth through cultural exchanges.
