To further implement the Healthy China strategy, popularize knowledge on safe medication, and introduce a standardized expired medicine recycling system to the campus, the launching ceremony of the "Healthy China · Pharmacy Guards All" campus safety campaign was successfully held at our university on May 27. Relevant officials from the Zhenjiang Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, the University Student Affairs Office, various residential colleges, and the School of Pharmacy, together with teacher and student representatives, attended the event.

At the launching ceremony, all attendees first watched a promotional video on the hazards of improper disposal of expired medicines. They gained an intuitive understanding of the risks posed by random discarding and improper handling of expired medicines to human health and the ecological environment, further strengthening their sense of responsibility for standardized recycling and scientific disposal.

Yang Jian, Deputy Director of the University Student Affairs Office, and Liu Zhengxin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Pharmacy, delivered speeches successively. They noted that campus drug safety bears on the health of teachers and students as well as campus stability. Carrying out expired medicine recycling and popular science education on safe medication is an important measure to advance the building of a healthy campus and practice the concept of ecological and environmental protection. Taking this event as an opportunity, the university will establish a long-term recycling mechanism, guide teachers and students to foster the concepts of scientific medication and green recycling, and embed drug safety awareness deeply in everyone's mind.

The ceremony included the distribution of standardized expired medicine recycling bins and the presentation of volunteer appointment letters. Chen Wen, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director-General of the Zhenjiang Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, Yang Jian, Deputy Director of the University Student Affairs Office, and Wei Yuan, Dean of the School of Pharmacy, handed out recycling bins to student volunteer representatives. Sun Ning, Director of the Department of Drug Distribution Supervision and Administration of the Zhenjiang Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, Huang Zhonglai, Dean of Qiushi Residential College, Wu Liping, Dean of Wenxin Residential College, Fan Yirong, Dean of Jinghu Residential College, and Xu Bing, Director of the Staff Hospital, presented appointment letters to volunteer representatives. The volunteer representatives will devote themselves to drug safety promotion and recycling services with practical actions, serving as guardians of campus health.

Following the launching ceremony, a special lecture was officially held. Chen Wen, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director-General of the Zhenjiang Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, delivered a thematic lecture on the development of Zhenjiang's biopharmaceutical industry and drug safety. The lecture served both as a grand ideological and political course and an opportunity for students to gain an intuitive understanding of how local industries leverage policy advantages, optimize the business environment, and strengthen industrial clusters. He gave an in-depth presentation covering core knowledge of safe medication, standards for standardized disposal of expired medicines, and practical operation methods for campus recycling. The content was professional, detailed and easy to understand, providing authoritative guidance for the university's regular popularization of drug safety knowledge and expired medicine recycling work.

This "Healthy China · Pharmacy Guards All" campus safety campaign integrates the launching ceremony, popular science lectures, material distribution and volunteer appointment, effectively bringing drug safety knowledge onto the campus, into classrooms, and to the hearts of teachers and students. Going forward, the university will continue to improve the campus expired medicine recycling network, carry out a series of popular science publicity and volunteer services, and guide teachers and students to participate proactively and fulfill their shared responsibilities, so as to jointly build a healthy, safe and green beautiful campus.
