To further advance the improvement of the school's academic atmosphere, guide students of the 2023 cohort of Pharmaceutical Preparation to properly grasp the critical transition period of the second semester of junior year, gain an in-depth understanding of the postgraduate entrance exam and employment landscape of their major, clarify development directions and make reasonable academic plans, the School of Pharmacy recently held a special lecture on postgraduate exam and employment guidance for the 2023 Pharmaceutical Preparation cohort in Classroom 1204. Tong Shanshan, Vice Dean of the School of Pharmacy, Cao Jin, Director of the Department of Pharmaceutics, Shen Yuping, Secretary of the Faculty Party Branch of the Department of Pharmaceutics, the program counselor, and outstanding graduate representatives were invited to attend the event. All students of the 2023 Pharmaceutical Preparation cohort participated in the lecture.
During the lecture, the program counselor presented detailed data on further studies, civil service examinations and direct employment, drawing on the employment quality reports of pharmaceutics graduates from the School of Pharmacy over the past three years. He focused on analyzing the changing trend of the application-admission ratio for the postgraduate entrance exam in the pharmaceutics major in recent years, and compared the recruitment thresholds of state-owned enterprises, public institutions and biomedical enterprises, guiding students to gain a clear view of the situation and make rational self-positioning based on their own reality.
Afterwards, Geng Bei, an outstanding graduate representative of the pharmaceutics major, shared her own exam preparation experience in detail, covering the formulation of review plans, school selection strategies and second-round interview skills.
Cao Jin, Director of the Department of Pharmaceutics, gave a systematic introduction to the cutting-edge developments, disciplinary strengths of pharmaceutics and the admission characteristics of various universities. He offered professional advice on hot topics such as the differences between professional master's and academic master's programs, and key notes for cross-major applications.
Finally, Vice Dean Tong Shanshan delivered a concluding speech. She gave a comprehensive overview of the school's progress in recent years in research platform development, supervisor team building and commercialization of research findings, and conducted an in-depth analysis of the current macro landscape of postgraduate entrance exams.
